What’s The Waypoint?

We’re an outdoor recreation store, selling new & re-newed gear for outdoor adventures around East Texas. We buy used gear that’s appropriate for re-sale, and sell new & re-newed equipment for disc golf, kayaking, hiking, camping, pickleball, tennis, backyard games, yoga, & biking. We also have shirts & stickers for local flavor. Our inventory is constantly changing, but we strive for a focus on accessible local recreation. Get outside & enjoy some analogue entertainment!

Where is The Waypoint located?

We’re located NW of the intersection of FM-14 & US-80 in downtown Hawkins - 145 Beaulah St, Hawkins, TX 75765

From the east entrance of Tyler State Park, turn left on FM-14. We’re 15 minutes away.

Ok, but where is The Waypoint?

We can be tough to find for those unfamiliar with downtown Hawkins. If you’re approaching from the south, we’re located in the building with the Hawkins mural, on the left side of FM-14 – approximately 100 feet north of the FM-14/US-80 intersection.

If you’re coming to us heading south on FM-14, we’re approximately 100 yards south of the City National Bank on the right side before reaching US-80. Look for the giant red Waypoint location pin on the wall.

Do you have disc golf items?

Great question. Yes, we do. New & used discs. New & re-newed pins. Starter bags. Intermediate bags. Starter sets. Current brands on-hand: Axiom, Innova, Mint, MVP, & Streamline. We also buy used discs in good shape.

Do you have pickleball stuff?

We do! We have simple starter sets available for those who are new to pickleball & just getting started. If you’re an experienced pickleball player that has extra paddles lying around, we’d love for you to help us grow our collection for everyone to enjoy! Bring ‘em in for an offer.

Will you buy my used gear?

Quite possibly, yes. If your equipment is appropriate for re-sale & re-circulation back into the community, we’d love for you to bring it in for an offer. Here’s a list of things we’re looking for. Working condition is important and we reserve the right to refuse any item.

We also consign larger items, such as bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, & golf clubs. Our consignment rate is 30%. If you’re interested in our T&Cs, come in & see us, or contact us here.

At this time, we are not making offers for clothing, pads, uniforms, or collectibles.

What’s in downtown Hawkins?

The intersection of FM-14 & US-80 offers all the ingredients for a fun day out. After discovering your next adventure at The Waypoint, you can grab lunch & an ice cream dessert at Holly Cow: The Udder One. Make your way to Two Shabby Souls for plants & home décor before stopping by the Hawkins mural wall for selfies. If you play guitar, head into Action Sound and let the world-renowned luthiers get you back into key. While while they’re working, the Coffee Rig will get you that pick-me-up. All establishments are walking distance & located around a convenient parking lot off US-80.

Where’s your online store?

Online store coming soon, featuring shirts, stickers, & featured finds. It won’t feature discs, due to a restriction of online sales for some brick & mortar exclusive discs.
